About me:
My name is Alf Schreiber and I teach 5th Grade at Marvin Elementary. I grew up in Chicago, Illinois. This is my tenth year teaching 5th Grade at Marvin Elementary. I have also taught English in Doha, Qatar (located in the Middle East). I studied at Western Illinois University and received a Bachelors in English and minored in Anthropology. My graduate work continued at WIU and focused in English Literature as well. I received my teaching credential from National University. I have a wide range of hobbies. I love to read (my favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien). I play ice hockey and enjoy watching the sport. I am also an avid cyclist. I am extremely devout to Chicago sports teams and passionately support the Chicago Blackhawks, Cubs and Bears. I love traveling when I can, and love to learn about new cultures as well.
